The list of “Remarkable Women of New Hampshire” highlights 10 women who “know how the game is played and when it’s time to shake things up,” writes New Hampshire Magazine. Featured on the magazine’s list is Mary Flanagan, the Sherman Fairchild Distinguished Professor in Digital Humanities, and director of Dartmouth’s Tiltfactor Laboratory, a lab dedicated to creating games with a social impact, the article notes.
“Games offer the ability to make meaningful choices,” Flanagan tells the magazine. “Look at the power of games in our culture. What if we could tap that for a different purpose?”
