American Indians Go Ivy League (Indian Country Today)

Although American Indians represent approximately .5 percent of the student population at most Ivy League schools, Dartmouth is the notable exception, writes Indian Country Today. Dartmouth’s percentage: 4 percent.
Director of Admissions Paul Sunde says Dartmouth is serious about recruiting and retaining American Indian students, notes the news website.
“We offer a strong support network, with the goal of helping students not just to stay in school and do well but to excel beyond their own and others’ expectations,” Sunde tells Indian Country Today.
