National Book Award Finalists (The Chronicle of Higher Education)

The Chronicle of Higher EducationThe Chronicle of Higher Education reports that Dartmouth’s Cynthia Huntington is a finalist for a National Book Award. Huntington, a poet and a professor of English and creative writing, made the list with her book Heavenly Bodies. The story listed only the finalists whose books were published by university presses.

Also a finalist but not mentioned in the story is Louise Erdrich ’76, who has been in residence at Dartmouth as a Montgomery Fellow several times, most recently in May 2012. She was nominated for her book The Round House.
