WCAXBy September 2013, WCAX reports, New Hampshire voters will need to prove that they are residents of the state before they are allowed to vote. In this video, several Dartmouth students, along with Linda L. Fowler, a professor of government and the Frank J. Reagan 1909 Chair in Policy Studies, discuss how the new law might affect the voting participation of students who attend colleges in New Hampshire but are residents of other states.

“In political science, we know that voting becomes habitual. So, if you don’t acquire the habit of voting while you are young, it is less likely that you will acquire it later,” Fowler told WCAX.
